THE Land Transportation Office (LTO), under the guidance of Department of Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon, made it clear to Yanna Motovlog that it will not lift the suspension of her driver’s license until such time that the motorcycle she used during the viral road rage in Zambales is brought to the agency’s Central Office in Quezon City.
Such a stand is clearly stated in the resolution signed by LTO chief, Assistant Secretary attorney Vigor D. Mendoza II in connection with the case of Yanna Motovlog after the video she uploaded regarding a confrontation with a pick-up driver went viral on social media.
And this was made clear to Yanna Motovlog when she went to the LTO Central Office on Friday to get a copy of the resolution in relation to the sanctions imposed on her that includes a fine of P2,000 for reckless driving and P5,000 for using a motorcycle without side mirrors.
LTO Intelligence and Investigation Division chief Renante Melitante said Yanna Motovlog met with Yanna Motovlog and the latter explained the reasons why she did not appear in the two hearings.
She earlier cited security reasons as the reason why she chose to send her legal counsel instead.
During the meeting, Melitante explained to Yanna Motovlog that there is a need to surrender the motorcycle over suspicion that it is not registered since it has no license plate.
Yanna Motovlog was provided with the copy of the resolution in relation to her cases but did not pay the fines.
For his part, Mendoza emphasized the need to follow traffic rules and regulations, especially the part that requires drivers to be courteous and disciplined at all times to avoid troubles.
“Maliwanag ang bilin ng ating Pangulo na tiyakin ang kaligtasan ng lahat ng road users. Wala tayong palalampasin dito,” said Mendoza.
Meanwhile, there were reports that that Facebook account of Yanna Motovlog has been deleted due to numerous complaints, particulary the viral road rage video incident.
