A 21-YEAR-OLD woman on Wednesday filed a rape complaint against a police officer in Angeles City, Pampanga she met on Facebook.
The cop assigned at the Angeles City Police Station on Thursday was arrested by his fellow police officers.
Members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Provincial Field Unit Tarlac and the Angeles City police identified the suspect as alias “Ven,” 28, of Asingan, Pangasinan.
The victim personally appeared before the Office of the CIDG PFU Tarlac and formally filed a complaint against the cop-suspect.
According to the victim, the suspect arrived at her apartment in Concepcion, Tarlac without prior notice or invitation.
She said the suspect forced her to have sex with him.
The complainant told police she met the suspect on Facebook. She said they personally met twice until the crime was committed on Wednesday.
Acting on her complaint, operatives of the CIDG Tarlac PFU in coordination with the Angeles City PNP conducted a follow-up operation, which resulted in the suspect’s arrest.
Confiscated from the accused cop were his PNP identification card and the issued cal. .9mm pistol.
