SUBIC, Zambales — The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group’s (CIDG) “Oplan Paglalansag Omega” drive on Wednesday sent to jail a man for illegal possession of a gun, grenade and assorted bullets in this town.
In a report to CIDG Regional Field Unit 3 (RFU 3) chief Col. Grant Gollod, a search warrant was served by operatives of the CIDG Zambales Provincial Field Unit, in coordination with other law enforcement units, on alias “Lope,” 41, of Bgy. Calapandayan, Subic.
Operatives of the CIDG Zambales Provincial Field Unit, 2SAB, 23SAC, Regional Intelligence Unit 3, Zambales Provincial Intelligence Team, and the Subic police confiscated during the raid a cal. .38 gun, two live bullets for the gun, an M203 grenade, two live bullets for cal. .9mm pistol, and five live bullets for cal. .45 gun.
The suspect was brought to the CIDG Zambales PFU office for booking and documentation.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition were filed against the arrested suspect.
