CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – The intensified anti-illegal drug operations by the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) across Central Luzon held overnight on November 12 to 13 led to the arrest of four “high-value individuals” (HVIs) and the confiscation of P2.21 million worth of suspected shabu.
In Talavera, Nueva Ecija, a joint operation by the Talavera police, Provincial Special Operations Group (PSOG-NEPPO), and Provincial Intelligence Unit Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (PIU-NEPPO) on November 12 resulted in the arrest of two HVIs and the confiscation of 75 grams of shabu valued at P510,000.
On November 13, the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Balanga City police arrested another HVI in a buy-bust operation.
Seized from the suspect were 200 grams of shabu worth P1,360,000, a backpack, a mobile phone, and the buy-bust money.
In Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija, the provincial police, together with elements from the NEPPO and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 (RMFB3), apprehended another HVI and confiscated 50 grams of shabu valued at P340,000.
PRO3 director Brig. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. lauded the successful operations and the coordinated efforts of the police units involved, reaffirming the region’s unyielding stance against the illegal drug trade.
“These series of successful operations reflect PRO3’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs and its commitment to apprehending high-value individuals involved in the regional drug trade,” Peñones said.
“This is a clear message — illegal drugs have no place in Central Luzon. We will continue to pursue those who threaten peace and public safety,” he added.
