A WOMAN on Saturday died in a fire that hit a residential area in Quezon City.
The remains of the 29-year-old victim was found near the door of her rented apartment unit at the corner of Kamias Road and Col. Salgado St., Bgy. West Kamias, Quezon City.
Her 14 cats and one dog also perished in the blaze.
The fire started around 3:40 a.m.. A fire out was declared at 5:07 a.m. of the same day.
An investigation showed the victim was alone in the apartment unit when the fire broke out.
Her relatives tried to rescue her but were prevented by the raging blaze.
An investigation is ongoing on what started the fire.
