DISMISSED Bamban,Tarlac mayor Alice Guo on Friday night was transferred to the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City from the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory.
Before she was transferred, Guo had undergone medical and laboratory examinations inside the Pasig City Jail.
Guo’s prison transfer was led by the BJMP Special Tactics and Response Team, assisted by personnel from the Eastern Police District, the Bureau of Corrections, and a standby medical team.
The convoy arrived at the CIW at around 10:16 p.m.
Guo, together with her co-accused Rachel Joan Carreon and Jamielyn Cruz, was officially turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections at around 10:48 p.m.
The former Bamban mayor, Carreon, and Cruz were found guilty of qualified human trafficking by a Pasig City court, which also ordered their detention at the Mandaluyong facility.
The case was in connection with the raid on a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub in Bamban in June 2024, where over 800 Filipinos and foreigners were rescued.
