TARLAC CITY, Tarlac — A most wanted person for child abuse in Tarlac on Wednesday was arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in this city.
CIDG Regional Field Unit 3 chief Col. Grant Gollod identified the suspect as alias “Cia,” 50, who was apprehended in Zone 5, Bgy. San Isidro, Tarlac City.
The arrest was carried out under “Oplan Pagtugis” by personnel of the CIDG Tarlac Provincial Field Unit led by Lt. Col. Arvin Hosmillo, in coordination with the Provincial Intelligence Team-Tarlac of the Regional Intelligence Unit 3, and the Tarlac City police.
Authorities served the warrant of arrest against Cia for violation of Section 10(a) of Republic Act 7610 or the “Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act,” in relation to Section 3(b) of the same law.
The arrest warrant was issued by the Family Court, Third Judicial Region, Branch 11 in Tarlac City.
The suspect was brought to the CIDG Tarlac PFU office for standard booking and documentation procedures.
Gollod reiterated their commitment to intensifying operations against wanted persons, particularly those facing charges involving crimes against children.
