OPERATIVES of the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP CIDG) on Saturday seized some P2.1 million worth of illicit vape and LPG products in Cavite.
Members of the CIDG Cavite Provincial Field Unit conducted the first raid in Bgy. Pasong Camachile in General Trias City.
Seized were 13 boxes of Vapor X and DR Freeze Blackbar and a box of Vivar V2 vape products which have no permit from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
The recovered products were valued at nearly P1.998 million.
Another operation in Bgy. Paliparan 1 in Dasmariñas City yielded 60 empty Regasco and 30 empty Supreme Kalan Gas cylinders worth P200,000.
The LPG tanks were being refilled and sold without any authority from the two companies.
PNP-CIDG director Maj. Gen. Robert Alexander A. Morico II said the confiscation was part of their stepped-up crackdown on violators of the Intellectual Property Law.
Morico said the fake consumer products confiscated pose risks to the buying public.
