ANGELES CITY, Pampanga — The “Oplan Pagtugis” drive by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) has sent to jail a 19-year-old man listed as the most wanted person in this city.
Suspect alias “Jace” was arrested at his residence in Metro Gate Subdivision, Bgy. Capaya, Angeles City, said CIDG Regional Field Unit 3 (RFU3) chief Col. Grant Gollod.
The arrest was carried out by operatives of the CIDG Angeles City Field Unit, in coordination with personnel from ACPO Police Station 3, and the 302nd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3.
The suspect was caught based on warrants for rape and violation of Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 61 in Angeles City.
Following his arrest, the suspect was brought to the CIDG Angeles City Field Unit for proper documentation. He is currently being held at the unit’s custodial facility pending the return of the warrant of arrest to the issuing court.
Gollod said the arrest forms part of the Philippine National Police’s continuing campaign against wanted persons and efforts to ensure that individuals facing serious criminal charges are brought before the courts to answer for the allegations against them.
