CALAMBA CITY CELEBRATES DR. JOSE RIZAL’S 165TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY

Calamba City Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal leads the wreath-laying ceremony at the monument of Dr. Jose Rizal as a young boy at the Museo ni Jose Rizal (Bahay ni Rizal) in Calamba, Laguna during the commemoration of the 165th birth anniversary of the national hero Friday, June 19, 2026. A descendant of Dr. Jose Rizal, Mayor Rizal said the life and teachings of Gat. Jose Rizal continue to inspire the Filipinos to become responsible citizens and active contributors to nation building. He encouraged everyone to  continue Jose Rizal’s legacy through unity, compassion, and honest public service. Also present in the event were Sen. JV Ejercito, Laguna Gov. Sol Aragones , other government leaders, local officials and people of Calamba City.
