CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Anti-illegal drugs operatives on Sunday arrested a high-value individual (HVI) and two minors in a buy-bust operation in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
Arrested were alias “Aloy,” 45, identified as a “high-value individual” and a resident of Bgy. San Isidro, Subic, Zambales; alias “Mark,” 16, also from Bgy. San Isidro, Subic; and alias “John,” 16, a child in conflict with the law (CICL) from Bgy. Naugsul, Subic, Zambales.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez, the operation was conducted in Sitio Mauli, Bgy. Sapang Biabas, Mabalacat City by joint operatives of the Pampanga Police Drug Enforcement Unit as the lead unit, with support from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3, Pampanga police headed by its director Col. Ricardo M. David, and the Mabalacat City Police Station.
Seized during the operation were around 55 grams of shabu worth P374,000.
The suspects were brought to the Pampanga PDEU Office for proper documentation and disposition, while appropriate charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Republic Act 9165) were filed against the adult suspect.
Mendez said the two minors will be processed in accordance with the provisions of the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act.
The official added that the successful operation underscores the continuing coordination between the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in intensifying the campaign against illegal drugs across Central Luzon.
