FOUR people, including a pilot, on Friday were injured when a training plane crashed at an agricultural area near the Iba, Zambales airport.
Police identified the injured as pilot and flight instructor Capt. Jacques Robert Papio and student pilots Angelo Josh Quinsayas , Kisses Nunez Althea and Jericho Bernardo Palma.
The four, who were all declared safe, were brought to the President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital for treatment.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), the Cessna 172 plane with tail number RPC 2211, was conducting a routine training flight from Subic when it suddenly went down in an agricultural area at Purok 4, Sitio Corocan, Bgy. Lipay-Dingin-Panibutan.
The Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board (AAIIB) has already been notified of the incident and will conduct an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
The investigation was also in accordance with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to ensure public safety.
