CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – An entrapment operation launched by the Pampanga police headed by its director Col. Eugene Marcelo on Thursday resulted in the arrest of 21 suspects in Bgy. Dau, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
The Mabalacat City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led the operation, with the support of the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) Pampanga, Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) Provincial Intelliegence Team (PIT) Pampanga, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Pampanga, and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) Pampanga.
Arrested were alias “Lek” and alias “Bonsai,” both listed as “high-value” targets and 19 other suspects.
Seized were at least 105 grams of shabu valued at P714,000 and 40 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P4,800.
All arrested suspects are now under the custody of the Mabalacat City police.
“This successful operation is a testament to our unwavering commitment in the relentless campaign against illegal drugs in Pampanga. The arrest of these individuals, including two ‘igh-value’ targets, significantly disrupts the local drug network operating in Mabalacat City,” PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Ponce Peñones Jr. said.
“We assure the public that your Pampanga police will continue to pursue and apprehend those involved in the illegal drug trade, wherever they may be hiding. Let this serve as a strong warning — the law will catch up with you,” he added.
