STA. RITA, Pampanga – A motorcycle and a tanker truck collision left two young men dead in Bgy. Dila-Dila, this town.
A report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director Brig. Gen. Jess Mendez by the Pampanga police identified the fatalities as Marveric Rey Chavez of Guagua, Pampanga, and Francois Christler Razon Cristobal, 18, of San Matias, Santo Tomas, Pampanga.
The victims were riding a motorcycle when hit by the tanker at an intersection of a municipal and provincial road in the village.
An investigation showed the motorcycle was traveling along the municipal road toward the intersection while a Hino tanker trailer driven by Raymond Tabual Bechayda, 28, was traversing the provincial road en route to Bgy. Becuran when upon reaching the crossroad, the two vehicles collided, causing the motorcycle riders to be thrown to the ground, killing them on the spot.
Responding lawmen arrested the truck driver.
A case for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and damage to property is being prepared against the tanker truck driver before the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor.
