THE three-day free rides on Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) and Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) for government employees has started.
The free ride from Sept. 18 to 20 is celebration of the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.
All government employees can avail of the ride during peak hours of the rail line operation or from 7 to 9 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.
“The free ride for government employees has started today, September 18,” said the MRT3 management.
“In solidarity with the celebration of the Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) will offer free rides on the LRT-2 from September 18 to 20,” according to LRT-2.
Passengers must present a valid government ID to receive the free ride.
MRT-3 travels on EDSA from North Avenue, Quezon City to Taft Avenue, Pasay City while LRT-2 connects Recto, Manila to Antipolo City.
