AFTER more than a decade, the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, will embark on a two-day State Visit to the Philippines upon the invitation of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
The Qatari Amir will visit Manila from April 21 to 22, the Presidential Communications Office announced on Saturday.
“The two leaders are expected to exchange views on regional issues and to discuss PH-Qatar bilateral relations which now covers cooperation in the areas of labor, climate change, trade and investments, energy security, education, youth, and sports, among others,” the PCO said.
The Qatari Amir made the last State Visit to the Philippines in 2012.
