A 37-YEAR-OLD man and his 72-year-old aunt on Wednesday night were found dead in their house in Quezon City.
Police are verifying the names of the victims.
The victims were in the early stages of decomposition when discovered by village officials and the police in Bgy. Greater Lagro at around 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
Initial probe showed the man had not reported to work for several days.
A co-worker decided to check on the man but after receiving no response despite repeatedly knocking on the door, he immediately sought the help of the barangay officials.
Responding village officials smelled a foul odor from the house and when they forced their way inside, they saw the victims dead and already in an advanced state of decomposition.
An investigation is ongoing on what caused the death of the victims.
