A FEMALE patient on Wednesday was shot dead inside a public hospital in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
Police identified the fatality as Chatty Timbang, 36, a resident of Bgy. San Miguel 2 in the city.
Timbang was inside the emergency room of the Pagamutan ng Dasmariñas when a man armed with a gun entered and without a word opened fire at around 3:10 a.m. on Thursday.
Timbang’s mother, Conchita, and two other hospital visitors Abdul Batua and Nedia Vasque, were injured.
Conchita, who was sleeping next to her daughter, was hit by a bullet on the right thigh.
The gunman was leaving the hospital when he shot Batua and Vasque on the hand and leg.
The suspect and his two cohorts fled on two motorcycles toward Congressional Avenue right after the shooting.
Police are hunting down the suspects and investigating the motive for the killing.
