CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — The Regional Medical and Dental Unit 3 (RMDU3) continues to implement the Enhanced Monitoring of Police Overall Wellness (EMPOW) or the “Serbisyong Pangkalusugan para sa Pulis ng Gitnang Luzon.”
On Wednesday, RMDU3 launched a medical program at the Police Regional Office 3 Makatao Activity Center in Camp Olivas, reaffirming its commitment to prioritize the health and well-being of over 300 police personnel in Region 3.
Under the leadership of RMDU3 chief Col. Jonard de Guzman, the unit focuses on the ongoing health monitoring and management of PNP personnel, particularly those affected by diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia.

According to De Guzman, the primary goals of the program are to safeguard healthy police officers from lifestyle diseases, identify prevalent health risks through annual physical screenings, and provide proper medical intervention for detected conditions.
This is achieved through patient education, follow-up consultations, continuous medication, and quarterly monitoring of patients’ treatment compliance.
De Guzman said police personnel in Central Luzon undergo laboratory testing every six months to ensure their conditions are properly managed.
He said the program is actively being implemented in provincial and city police offices across the region.
Reassuring personnel of the program’s comprehensive support, he pointed out that RMDU3 will continue to provide the necessary medical assistance and treatment to PRO3 personnel, aiming for a healthy, safe, and productive environment both in the workplace and the community.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. thanked the RMDU3 for its unwavering dedication to maintaining the health and fitness of Central Luzon’s police force, ensuring their readiness to serve the public effectively.
