THREE people, including an elderly couple, on Thursday died in a fire that destroyed their house in Tondo, Manila.
According to the Manila Fire District, the remains of the couple and their 45-year-old son were found on the second floor of the burnt house.
Four people were also injured, including thee fire volunteers.
The fire started on the second floor of the house of Loreta Flores located on R.A Reyes Street in Tondo.
The 78-year-old man, his 70-year-old wife and their 45-year-old son were trapped inside the burning house.
The blaze spread to the nearby houses made-up of light materials.
The fire reached second alarm and was declared under control at 2:41 p.m..
A total of 18 families were displaced by the blaze.
Fire damage was placed at P800,000.
