JOINT operatives on Friday arrested two female drug suspects and seized some P340 million worth of shabu in Muntinlupa City.
Members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Intelligence Service (IS), in coordination with the PDEA-National Capital Region Southern District Office, and the Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Unit Muntinlupa launched the operation in a subdivision in Bgy. Putatan.
Seized from suspects alias “Joy” and alias “Liezel” were a box containing 25 golden aluminum packs, a luggage containing 20 vacuum-sealed orange packs with the label “Cote d’Ivoire,” a red resuable bag containing five vacuum-sealed orange packs also with the label “Cote d’Ivoire” which are all containing shabu with an estimated weight of 50 kilograms and worth around P340 million.
The confiscated illegal drugs were brought to the PDEA laboratory for further examination and testing.
Charges for violation of Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the arrested suspects.
